School girl failed to conform to traffic red light signal at a pedestrian crossing along Choa Chu Kang Ave 4 on 18 Sept 2026 at around 7:22am.
Under the Road Traffic Act (RTA), for failing to cross the road at a pedestrian crossing (jaywalking – including failing to comply to red light at a pedestrian crossing), the offence carries a fine of S$50; and also, under Section 337 of the Penal Code 1871, anyone committing a rash act that causes hurt carries a penalty of imprisonment for up to 1 year, a fine of up to S$5,000, or both, in Singapore.
